I seriously do NOT like Salmon. Zoe smoked salmon from my husband's 50th Birthday Party because that's what he wanted....I ate so much of it!! It is heavenly!! I order it over and over again.
The "Dry Heat" pepper sauce is amazing. Perfect heat, perfect flavor. This sauce is not just heat for the sake of more heat. It compliments dishes perfectly without drawing them in taste bud numbing flavorless.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest where out of necessity my family grew or caught our food. My father hunted and fished, and we had chickens or beef on our property. My father had three daughters and I was the oldest. We learned how to do it all including how to smoke meats and seafood. My mamma and grandma kept me busy in our garden and picking berries all summer. I learned from them the love of a fresh tomato you canned in the fall and the experience of the summer flavor again in the winter when the preserved fruit was consumed.
I am grateful that I get to pass on a continuation of my heritage as I teach my son Levi all the wisdom gleaned in the garden, over a fire, and in the kitchen.
